Grant Consulting

Grant consulting is the complete package of all services through a 6-month or 12-month retention basis. I support your organization through the entire grant process from readiness, to program design, to the master grant application template, to grant prospect research, to grant writing and submissions.

Project timeline:

  • Month 1: Grant Readiness

  • Month 2: Program Design and Master Grant Application Template

  • Month 3 - Throughout: Grant Prospect Research and Grant Writing

Cost is dependent on the number and type of grants to be submitted and length of contract.

Master Grant Application Template

This service involves preparation of a master grant application template containing the information necessary for the most common grant application requests. You will walk away with editable grant templates that include the most commonly requested core components of a grant application. This process also provides clarity on organizational and programming goals, objectives, activities, outputs, and outcomes. The contents of the template can also be used in program development, promotional materials, and your website.

Grant Writing

My grant writing services involve preparation of a professional, comprehensive, and cohesive grant application package in compliance with the application requirements. This includes preparation of all supporting documents such as funder-required templates and budgets and submission of grant application on behalf of your organization. I welcome writing grant applications to federal, state, and local governments, banks, corporations, and foundations. All clients must complete the Grant Readiness service prior to the Grant Writing service.

My desire is to build lasting relationships with my clients. Thus, I typically do not write single grants for organizations. I have found it is more beneficial to you as the client and our partnership if I write grants more regularly for the organization.

Sustainable Grant Solutions will prepare grants with a minimum $10,000 funding request.

Grant Proposal Review

If I have completed a Master Grant Application Template for your organization, I can provide constructive review and editing of grant applications you prepare prior to submission. This service involves a comprehensive review of the grant application and attachments to ensure the application meets the funder’s requirements and assistance in articulating compelling and accurate narratives. I will provide the reviewed grant application and attachments with suggested edits in redline/track changes.

Sustainable Grant Solutions will perform Grant Proposal Reviews for existing clients who have completed a Master Grant Application Template.

Grant Readiness

Grant Readiness is the compilation of the organizational information needed to ensure your organization is grant-ready. This involves the creation of a personalized Grant Readiness Template and support in collecting the necessary forms and information needed for the organization to become grant-ready. Plus, I perform an assessment of the gathered materials to determine if your organization is grant-friendly, and if not, I provide you with a roadmap on what you can do to get there. The task will result in the compilation of the collected information into a usable format for utilization in future grant writing projects.

Grant Readiness is the important first step prior to any other service.

Program Design

Program Design is the delineation and compilation of your Programs information needed to complete grant applications. This includes support in properly delineating services into programs that are recognizable to funders and compilation of the program information into a usable format for future grant writing. Plus, I will provide support in properly delineating budgets for each program.

Grant Prospect Research

The Grant Prospect Research service involves preparation of a usable grant writing plan based on research and compilation of potential client-specific grant opportunities. The service includes research to identify prospective funders for organization programs and needs and compilation of the research data into a usable grant writing plan (calendar). You will walk away with a plan for future granting writing and application submissions.

Grant Prospect Research is provided to existing clients who have completed Grant Readiness. Sustainable Grant Solutions does not perform Grant Prospect Research as a stand-alone service.
